Cygnus – The Swan Constellation
Mixed media art doll inspired by Cygnus, the Swan constellation.
Cygnus is a one-of-a-kind sculptural figure with closed eyes, painted eyes on her palms and a black swan resting around her shoulders. She wears a pointed black hat, a dark jacket and a black-and-white striped skirt.
In her story, Cygnus listens to what remains unspoken. The constellation beneath her feet is her map.
The figure combines hand-sculpted air-dry clay, textiles and wool, with painted and hand-finished details.
