Back Then, I Didn’t Know is a one-of-a-kind contemporary textile wall sculpture about memory, vulnerability, and the body as a place where unspoken experience is stored.
The work combines soft sculptural volume, printed textile, embroidery, raw seams, and hand-painted phrases. Words such as “Back then, I didn’t know” and “I just tried to exist” appear across the surface like fragments of an inner monologue — not as a statement, but as traces left behind.
The elongated form feels partly human, partly abstract, somewhere between a body, a relic, and a soft psychological object. Its asymmetry, exposed seams, stitched marks, and layered textile surface create a sense of fragility without making the work decorative or sentimental.
This textile wall sculpture is made for collectors of contemporary fiber art, soft sculpture, symbolic wall pieces, and emotionally charged textile-based work. It belongs in a quiet interior, studio, reading room, gallery wall, or private collection — a place where it can be looked at slowly.
